About Mr. Fitzhugh

Hello! I’m H. Naylor Fitzhugh III, a math educator with over 12 years of experience teaching students from 4th grade through high school. I specialize in helping learners build both confidence and clarity in mathematics. Originally from California, I relocated to Arizona from Maryland with my wife and two sons a decade ago.

I earned a Master's degree in Secondary Mathematics from John's Hopkins University in 2013. I’m passionate about helping students overcome math anxiety by helping them see that their struggles are related to a lack of practice, and not a lack of intelligence. Math is a skill, and like any skill, it improves with guidance and persistence. With the right approach, math just Fitz!
